Did you know?
YRT\Viva's award-winning transit system provides York Region with 126 conventional routes and 5 rapid transit routes covering all of it's nine area municipalities? It's connections include 15 GO Rail stations and 2 GO bus terminals.
Now that's coverage
Monthly transit passes (GO, YRT\Viva, TTC, etc.) are now tax deductible! Hold onto your monthly transit passes and receipts to be eligible to receive the new Federal Tax Credit. Both the pass and the receipt are required when you file this year.
Click on www.yrt.ca for detailed information on YRT/Viva schedules, maps, fares and service updates.
Here’s a great way to connect in York Region. You can get to and from GO Trains without the hassles of driving or parking for just 50¢. Just drop in the correct change when you board the YRT or Viva vehicle travelling to your GO Train Station. Or buy a Ride to GO fare from oneRide and multiRide fare machines – it's valid on both YRT and Viva. Click here (50 cent fare!) to find out all the details.
Now you can get YRT/Viva information 24-7 with "rideQuest Call," an automated phone system.
Here's how it works:
- Call 1 866 MOVE YRT
- Punch in your four-digit bus stop number (posted at your bus stop) to get the next departure times for today, later today or a future day.
- If you don't know your bus stop number, select a route and time.
- You'll then be connected to the route, direction, time and date you've selected.
- You can also listen to information about fares, detours, delays and more.
Upcoming Events
York Region is introducing a new YRT street furniture program to update the appearance of transit shelters, benches, bike racks, community information kiosks, etc. The new look will ensure a consistent and appealing transit presence that will enhance public spaces in all municipalities. - YRT.ca
