Why carpool?

• Save money – on gas, on wear and tear of your vehicle and on parking.
• Save time – commuters reported saving on average 13 minutes per one way trip by using HOV lanes. Many employers also offer reserved parking spaces for carpools, that are close to your office door.
• Save the environment – reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Driving only 10% less, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 0.2 to 0.8 tonnes per year, depending on the vehicle.
• Save the stress – if driving during rush hour on congested roads gets on your nerves, share the driving. Catch up on your sleep or reading (if you’re the passenger!) Make a new friend and have someone to chat with.
