Smart Commute Central York is encouraging Georgina residents to consider carpooling or taking public transit as a way to help relieve traffic congestion and reduce their carbon footprint.
The commuter parking lot, owned by Metrus Properties, located at the corner of Woodbine and Glenwoods Avenue, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and offers secure parking free-of-charge. York Region Transit (YRT) shuttle service between the South Keswick Commuter Parking Lot and the East Gwillimbury GO Station is available from this location. Riders with valid GO Train tickets or passes can board the YRT shuttle for only 50 cents. Full details are available at www.yrt.ca.
